Support for funding secures £100,000

Peepul Enterprise Leicester were awarded £100,000 from Community Aid Funding.

Peepul Enterprise is a multi-purpose venue, which is also a social enterprise. The more successful they are, the more they are able to give back to the community. The Peepul Enterprise is a venue where businesses can meet regularly for presentations and networking, and an informal meet and greet place, situated in the heart of Leicester,.

VAL started to support Peepul Enterprise in March 2020, before the lockdown. VAL initially met with the Directors to discuss Business development support, with the view to commissioning us to help the group develop and explore better income generation activities. However, following lockdown, the focus was forced to change to emergency Covid support to help the local BAME community.

VAL helped Peepul Enterprise identify a range of funding opportunities, which were available at that time, including the Barclays Bank funding.

We supported their funding officer, with project planning for this fund in line with the funders priorities and objectives. The group were able to submit an application and successfully secured £100,000 from their Community Aid Funding.

Anil Bhanot, CEO, Peepul Enterprise, was so pleased with the outcome and the help that he received from VAL.

“Thank you so much, we are so grateful to Krupa and the team at Voluntary Action Leicestershire, (VAL) for all their support in getting this funding for Peepul Enterprise.
