Culture Recovery Fund round 2 open

The deadline is midday on 1 February 2021

The Culture Recovery Fund for Independent Cinemas in England is administered by the British Film Institute (BFI) for the Government, as part of the UK Government’s cultural recovery package providing support for world-class cultural, arts and heritage institutions.

The Second Round of the Fund is open to new applicants as well as those that received a grant in the first round.

It will cover a range of costs from 1 April 2021 to 30 June 2021.

The fund intended for independent cinemas to support them as they transition back to a viable and sustainable operating model during April-June 2021.

Awards will cover eligible costs from 1 April 2021 to 30 June 2021 in order to help successful applicants operate on a viable and sustainable basis by 30 June 2021.

The Fund will provide Business Sustainability Grants, expected to be from £10,000 to £200,000 per cinema site, with an upper limit of £1million if you are a for profit organisation with multiple cinema sites, and £3million if you are a not for profit organisation.
