Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy and Companies House: Transition period letters

On 18 November the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, Alok Sharma wrote various letters to businesses.

The letters provides tailored advice on what key actions certain businesses must take after the transition period ends on 31 December 2020.

The letters contain QR codes and URLs which direct readers to GOV.UK, where they can view the online transition checker, sector specific webinars and access further guidance. The letter includes a leaflet that provides further information about the new rules from 1 January 2021.

Various other letters were compiled and sent to business such as the advance manufacturing and chemical sector.

We recommend that all local VCSE organisations review the letter sent to them or any that are appropriate above in order that they can prepare for the UK leaving the EU on 1 January 2021.
