Funding Briefing – Mindera Youth Development Fund
This is a short briefing session, hosted by Voluntary Action Leicestershire and delivered by Mindera UK Foundation to introduce the Youth Development Fund for the East Midlands.
The session will give you the opportunity to hear directly about the Youth Development Fund:
The Mindera UK Foundation is committed to fostering greater diversity and inclusion in the technology sector by engaging a broad range of NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) young adults aged 16–30. The mission is to help people build essential digital skills and improve their chances of employability, ensuring they have the confidence, opportunities and tools to pursue meaningful careers or otherwise.
Through the Youth Development Fund 2025, they offer unrestricted grants of up to £1,000 to charities and grassroots organisations that support young adults as described in one or both of the following areas:
- Digital Skills & Access: Teaching essential digital skills for life and work, upgrading tech resources, and building confidence in using technology.
- Employment & Career Support: Providing mentorship, CV and interview coaching, creating work experience pathways, and helping young people overcome barriers to employment, education, or training.
This funding is designed to strengthen your organisation’s ongoing work, not just specific projects, so that, together, we can create lasting impact for young people across the East Midlands (Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland and/or Nottinghamshire).
There will be a brief introduction to the fund, followed by an opportunity to ask questions.
As this fund is open to organisations within the East Midlands region, this session is open to groups across the East Midlands.
