Community Action Fund
The Community Action Programme is a wider initiative designed to build safer, more confident communities through collaboration, prevention, and early intervention. The programme supports community groups, schools, businesses and local partners to work together on shared priorities such as reducing crime, protecting vulnerable groups, and promoting positive behaviour.
Through resources, guidance and practical support, the programme helps communities develop and deliver their own safety initiatives. It empowers residents and organisations to take an active role in preventing harm, strengthening local resilience, and creating safer spaces for everyone. The Community Action Fund provides small grants to support local organisations in delivering projects that improve safety, prevent crime, and strengthen community wellbeing. The fund is designed to empower communities to take practical, grassroots action on issues that matter most to them.
Eligible projects may include awareness campaigns, training and education, security improvements, community engagement activities, or initiatives that help reduce specific crime types. The fund aims to encourage creativity, partnership working and sustainable solutions that make a positive, lasting impact.
This webinar is only open to VSCE groups who operate in and deliver services in Leicester and Leicestershire. The Webinar will not be recorded and resources will only be shared with those who attend the session.
