Get the Covid jab: Get back to what you enjoy

Anyone who has not yet been vaccinated or is due their second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland is urged to go and get their jab, as the local NHS scales up the number of vaccine opportunities ahead of 19 July 2021 date proposed for Covid restrictions to be lifted.

As well as adding more drop-in clinics, the Moderna vaccine has started to be offered for the first time in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, at the Peepul Centre.

Like the Pfizer vaccine, Moderna is suitable for anyone aged 18+, including pregnant women.

Taking action now will give everyone the confidence to make the most of the freedom of getting back to normal: going on holiday abroad, enjoying large gatherings such as sporting events, weddings and concerts, or just meeting up with friends and family in larger groups.

People who had their first dose at least eight weeks ago can attend the drop-in clinics for their second dose of the same vaccine.

The drop in clinics have already started but continue until the close of business on 25 July 2021.
