GP registration officers

Within the Integration and Transformation team at the local NHS there are staff called GP Registration Officers.

Their role is to identify, engage, and support members of the public in Leicester that are not registered with a GP practice.

With this project, they would like to provide patients with resources and information on accessing primary care treatment from a GP.

Not everyone is aware that treatment provided by a GP is free to all, regardless of nationality and residential status.

Further details of their role and how to contact them can be accessed here: https://www.leicestercityccg.nhs.uk/find-a-service/you-and-your-gp-practice/

Local VCSE organisations providing support to communities in context health and social care may want to check that their beneficiaries are registered with their GP and use the support of GP registration officers to help that uptake.
