Community groups and organisations can now apply for the latest round of Shire Climate Change grants.
Grants of up to £5,000 are available through the scheme run by Leicestershire County Council to help groups and organisations to reduce their carbon emissions by improving the energy efficiency of community buildings.
The community grant has already helped parish councils, community and faith groups as well as charities and village hall management committees.
To be eligible for a grant from the current round of funding, you must apply before Wednesday, 31 October. There will be a further round of funding which will close on Thursday, 28 February 2019.
Projects might include an EPC (energy performance certificate) or DEC (display energy certificate), installation of more efficient heating systems, roof or cavity wall insulation or renewable energy systems. The projects must be located in Leicestershire (not including Leicester City or Rutland).
