Friday 15 December is national Local Charities Day 2017. The day is organised by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and we want to take the opportunity to celebrate local charities in Leicester and Leicestershire.
If you want to take part in Local Charities Day, you can find out how on the Local Charities Day blog.
We’d also like to help build awareness for local charities. If you’re based in Leicester or Leicestershire, deliver local services and have a turnover of up to £1m, just tag us in a post on social media and we’ll share it with our followers.
VAL’s Voluntary Sector Support team offers services to support small local charities. We have online resources to help on topics like setting up a group, deciding on legal structures, trading and many more. You can also contact us directly for over the phone or face-to-face support on anything from fundraising to financial management.
You can get started by contacting us via our contact form, or by calling the VAL Helpline on 0116 257 5050.
From 15 December we’ll be officially launching our new Orange Rooms Shared Workspaces.
A shared workspace offers access to a desk with internet connection where you can drop in and out to work and network with other shared workspace users. The workspace will be open between Monday and Friday and will cost £100+VAT per month inclusive of bills for charities based in Leicester and Leicestershire.
If you’re interested in using a shared workspace, contact Orange Rooms:
