The Leicester Integrated Health and Care Group has been established to support the Health and Wellbeing Board in providing leadership, direction, delivery and assurance in fulfilling its aim to ‘Achieve better health, wellbeing and social care outcomes for Leicester’s population and a better quality of care for children, young people and adults using health and social services.’
As an integral partner in the Integrated Care System, we would now like to set up a VCSE Task and Finish Group to look at how voluntary and community sector organisations working with people in the city can work with the wider group to ensure it is part of its development.
The Leicester Integrated Health and Care Group has a responsibility to empower Leicester residents and ensure that their voices are heard and considered through lived experiences, case studies engagement insights. It wants to strengthen community involvement in its decision-making processes by harnessing the reach and the trust VCSE’s have within local communities. It is important that we engage with those from all backgrounds and communities particularly as Leicester is so diverse.
If you are a VCSE organisation working with Leicester city residents and are interested in being part of this development please email hardip.c@valonline.org.uk in the first instance. Meetings will primarily be held online on MS teams but will occasionally be face to face held at a mutually convenient venue.
