Data & Impact Analyst

Fixed term to March 2022, extension possible

The YES Project is a free service that helps young adults, aged 15-24, that are not in employment, education or training (NEET). The YES Project has been supporting the young people of Leicester and Leicestershire since 2016 and endeavours to help the individuals it supports to find employment or training opportunities, or give them the confidence to search for a role independently. The project is funded by the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund in a bid to promote social inclusion within the community.

Although the YES Project is managed and delivered by Voluntary Action LeicesterShire (VAL) and is based at their offices in Leicester’s City Centre, the project is a partnership of seven youth organisations and charities. Working with Bangladesh Youth & Cultural Shomiti (BYCS), The Bridge – East Midlands, Highfields Community Association (HCA), Leicestershire Cares, The Prince’s Trust, Soft Touch Arts and VAL, we are able to offer a holistic, tailored approach when it comes to supporting participants. The YES project also work with Trans4m Leicester CIC who deliver the Health and Wellbeing provision for participants and joined the project in March 2021.

We work to support young people that face a variety of barriers, including low confidence and self-esteem, mental health illnesses, disabilities as well as language and cultural barriers. We also support ex-offenders, those with substance misuse habits or those facing homelessness.
Based in the programme management team the Data and Impact Analyst key responsibilities will include; overseeing the project’s data capture procedures, supporting delivery partners, managing the YES database, analysing data to prepare quarterly performance monitoring reports and oversee the project’s research and evaluation work streams.

We are looking for an exceptional individual with an inquisitive mind, who has an eye for detail, who enjoys working with large datasets to help make decisions, manage complex processes, prioritise and multi-task. The project team works with structured processes and to tight timelines and targets, so flexibility and a “can do” attitude are a must.

The successful candidate must have experience of working in a fast-paced environment and be able to work on their own initiative and also work effectively within a high performing team.

Most importantly, the successful candidate will be energetic, driven and motivated to make a positive impact on young people’s lives.

Voluntary Action LeicesterShire is a sector leading diverse and ambitious organisation, with a vision for growth. You will benefit from a competitive salary, a flexible and supportive working environment, 25 days annual leave, rising with service, plus bank holidays and a 6% employer pension contribution.
