WiLL Project Volunteering Development Officer

We have exciting new opportunities for you to join our expanded team working on the Work.Live.Leicestershire (WiLL) project, which helps people who are economically inactive or unemployed who are living in rural Leicestershire to move into job search, training, or employment.

Fixed-Term to March 2023

Voluntary Action Leicestershire are proud to be a partner on the Work.Live.Leicestershire (WiLL) programme which helps people who are economically inactive or unemployed who are living in rural Leicestershire to move into job search, training, or employment.

Based within VAL Sector Support Team, you will work with, Volunteering Involving Organisations in identified rural areas to map and develop new volunteering opportunities for rural residents furthest from the labour market to take the first steps back into the workplace. The VAL Rural Volunteering Programme will enable access into work and training by overcoming specific rural barriers including skills, transport and confidence building. The role will also include creating specialist volunteering roles.

Awareness and promotion of opportunities will be a key feature of your role.
This role requires a proactive and dynamic approach, excellent technical and organisation skills, a keen eye for detail combined with the ability to process detailed information, manage complex processes, prioritise and multi-task. The project will work with structured processes and to tight timelines and targets, so flexibility and a “can do” attitude are a must.
