Step 2 Covid-19 restrictions

On 12 April 2021 the Prime Minister's Office, 10 Downing Street, Cabinet Office, and Department of Health and Social Care published promotional materials which enable organisations to display details of the restrictions now in place. Now that step 2 of the COVID-19 Response - Spring 2021 (Roadmap) commenced on 12 April 2021.

Such as details that you must not socialise indoors except with your household or support bubble. You can meet outdoors, including in gardens, in groups of six people or two households.

Local VCSE organisations may want to display the steps using the downloadable material, so that their beneficiaries are aware of the restrictions still in place.

The promotional material can be accessed here.

As part of step 2 changes coming into force on 12 April 2021, various central government advice has been updated.

Such as the COVID-19: Guidance for the safe use of multi-purpose community facilities.  This guidance is for those managing community centres, village halls, and other community facilities on safely re-opening multi-purpose buildings.  The revised guidance can be accessed here.

Other guidance that was updated on 12 April 2021 include “Reopening businesses and venues in England” guidance.  This guidance explains the steps required to enable reopening of certain businesses and venues safely.  The revised guidance can be accessed here.

Also on 12 April 2021 the COVID-19: guidance “ for the safe use of places of worship and special religious services and gatherings during the pandemic “ was updated. The guidance provides advice on how places of worship can open, for limited permitted activities, in a manner that is safe and in line with social distancing guidelines. The revised guidance can be accessed here.

We recommend that all local VCSE organisations review the relevant updated guidance to clarify what services can now be delivered and how they can be delivered safely.
