Support for Climate Action Plans in Leicester

Leicester City Council (LCC) is committed to working towards Leicester being a carbon neutral city and through its Climate Emergency strategy, aims to work with organisations across the city so they can all play a part in making this happen

De Montfort University (DMU) is working with LCC to develop a new toolkit for community organisations to help their staff, members and volunteers understand how they can play their part and to get involved.

To help develop the toolkit, DMU are looking to work with 10 organisations in the city to offer tailored advice and support.

The offer is open to VCSE organisations based in Leicester (e.g. community centres, charities, co-operatives, sports clubs, religious centres), that:

Own, lease or manage a building in the city
Can commit to an initial meeting and sharing relevant data with the project team to help develop ideas towards your Action Plan
Can commit to sending a member to an online focus group to share their experience and to help improve the action plan toolkit
This pilot project will run from June to August 2021
