Updated guidance for providers of services for people who use drugs or alcohol

On 7 April 2021 Public Health England and Department of Health and Social Care updated the COVID-19: guidance for commissioners and providers of services for people who use drugs or alcohol.

The revision was produced to reflect current practice in services.

The guidance helps commissioners, managers, and staff to minimise risk from coronavirus (COVID-19) in drug and alcohol services in England, including services for young people.

The revised guidance can be accessed here.

Local VCSE organisations providing support to people who use drugs or alcohol may wish to read the recommendations.
