he Hub undertakes a range of activities to drive up demand for the full range of national and local employment and training opportunities. It works directly with local businesses (especially SMEs) to increase demand for:
- Apprenticeships
- Traineeships
- Work experience
- Internships
- Volunteering
- Work placements opportunities
The project also adds capacity to and complements the work of the Education Skills Funding Agency and local apprenticeship training providers.
VAL Volunteering
VAL is one of the delivery partners working on the Leicester Employment Hub, supporting people to find short term volunteering opportunities to help them gain work experience, develop their skills and explore new career prospects for the future.
We are working with a range of different organisations across Leicester city and Leicestershire county who can involve volunteers in a number of different roles.
For further information on the range of volunteering organisations we work with and for the kinds of volunteering opportunities we are advertising, please visit the VAL Volunteering website.
How to get involved?
We are looking to work with:
- People who are interested in volunteering to help them find work in the future
- Organisations who could involve volunteers in short term volunteering roles to help them develop their skills and experience
