We are re-launching the Volunteer Network on 14 February. This is the perfect place for Volunteer Involving Organisations (VIOs) to share best practice and learn about updates in volunteer policy. The agenda will have presentations from Leicester College, the Royal Voluntary Service and the Employment Hub. There will also be the opportunity to discuss local needs on recruiting and managing volunteers.
Our next Health and Social Care Network on 29 January, has a packed agenda with talks from the Community Health and Learning Foundation, First Contact Plus and LLR Winter Care. There will also be an update on the All Age Transformation Plan and a discussion on the NHS’s 10 year Plan.
The Children, Young People and Families Network will be having lots of exciting speakers this year. The School Nursing Service, The Anti Bullying Team, Leicester’s Youth Parliament and UK Youth have all asked to take part in upcoming sessions. Our next network is on 12 March.
Our training offer has a great range of free and paid for courses to boost the skills of your organisation from CEO’s to volunteers. We are continuing with our Children’s Safeguarding Course, which we launched last year, with 3 sessions you can now book on to. We will also be hosting a new Fundraising Workshop, with Duncan Squires from Sileby Bowling Club, on 7 February. Duncan will talk about his relationship with Leicester City Football Club to raise over £20,000 refurbish their pavilion.
Economic Impact will help to provide you with all tools you need to deliver European Social Fund Project through our Learning Sessions. These skills can be applied to other large scale contracts and projects. Join us at our next Network Session to hear about the new Rural Inclusion project, WiLL. You will also take part in a workshop on the LLEP’s Skills for the Future Report and how the VCSE can use the information the shape new projects to support those furthest from the labour market.
