The programme is focusing on filling gaps in current services, providing access to holistic tailored support and breaking down the barriers to people entering work, education and training.
Working across rural Leicestershire, the programme will focus on filling gaps in current services, providing access to holistic, tailored support and breaking down the barriers to people entering work or learning. The project will also help people to improve their health and wellbeing, gain skills and work experience, and have improved confidence, motivation and social engagement.
VAL will also work with VCSE organisations to empower them to successfully recruit, manage and retain volunteers. The team will ensure organisations have appropriate management systems, policies/ procedures and role descriptions. All organisations will have access to the VAL volunteering website to register interest and organise opportunities with a key contact person supporting them through this. If you want to find work but don’t have enough experience, volunteering is a great way to get new roles on your CV.
