Tuesday 6 December 22
The Marlene Reid Centre
Meeting starts at 17:30 and will end at 19:30.
VAL is working with North West Leicestershire District Council to bring together local Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations working with volunteers in Coalville and the surrounding area to look at how you are working with volunteers, what is working well and what are the current challenges being faced.
An opportunity to reconnect with local volunteer involving organisations and consider how we can work together to support positive volunteering in the area. This session will also be a chance for local groups to talk to us about other areas of support that are needed.
Our ideas for the focus for the session are:
- Opportunity to promote local volunteering, consider how your organisation currently involves volunteers and if there are other ways to involve people in your work
- Challenges and solutions in recruiting, managing and retaining volunteers – particularly following the pandemic lockdowns
- Involving younger people as volunteers
- Promoting opportunities effectively and ideas for tailoring promotion to different audiences
[Please note that this event is available to Leicestershire groups and City groups who have County beneficiaries.]
