Children’s Summer Activity Grants

Applicants will close on midday on Monday 24 May 2021

Social Farms and Gardens are partnering with Hilden Charitable Fund to provide grants of £1,500 to support summer activities for children, a scheme formerly known as their Summer Playscheme Grants.

They are particularly interested in funding activities that will connect children from disadvantaged backgrounds with nature.

All eligible applications will be assessed on how strongly they demonstrate:

  • A clear proposal to connect children with nature.
  • The ability to encourage participation from children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • Previous experience of running successful activities for children.
  • A legacy for participants.

Applications are open to existing members of Social Farms & Gardens who are sited in the UK and who meet the eligibility criteria. Applicants must be one of the following types of organisations:

  • Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO / SCIO)
  • Not for profit company. Not-for- profit company. A company limited by guarantee – registered with Companies House.
  • School or educational body ( may also be a charity and /or company
  • Registered charity (unincorporated)
  • Registered charity and not for profit company
  • Community Interest Company (CIC)

Organisations must have a legal status and must be not for private profit.
