They have created awareness resources (leaflets + short informative films) in 6 community languages: Arabic, Bengali, Gujarati, Polish, Punjabi and Urdu. As well as phone lines in these 6 languages to provide support and information via an interpreter.
They initially launched the resources in the West Midlands in November 2020 and now have some funding to expand this work into the East Midlands.
They would like to work with community organisations in the East Midlands to promote the resources, in order to raise awareness of the signs & symptoms and their support services amongst these communities.
They have small pots of funding to share with community organisations to run a campaign in March 2021 (which is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month) to reach the communities they work with.
