Leicester Anti-Poverty Event
Are you a VCSE organisation, or business?
Please come and join us for our networking event to help tackle the city’s poverty.
Following our successful Anti-Poverty Conference in October, we are holding a second Anti-Poverty Event on the 17th of January 2024, to bring the city of Leicester’s VCSE sector together.
This will be another opportunity for you to gain further information with your partnership working, air challenges, and voice the support our Leicester City communities require going forward. We especially want to highlight your fantastic work, and the key impact this continues to have on our city’s communities.
VAL is working with Leicester City Council and other local community stakeholders to provide support in the much needed fight against poverty. This will be your opportunity to review the work already taking place, consider new ways of working together in partnership, and be inspired on lessons from other projects that have been working with the demanding challenges of tackling poverty.
Why attend?
Whether you attended our conference in October or you were unable to – this will be another key opportunity to network within the sector, and gain valuable information into Leicester’s aims towards poverty, affecting so many. As with the October conference, we will include various items on the agenda to explore key needs of local communities, support needed for local projects and consider how we could all work together to ensure local people can remain resilient in these challenging times.
What will the format of the day be?
This is a full day free event from 9.30am – 2.30pm, with a light lunch provided. There will be a series of speakers, workshops, and networking opportunities throughout the day
Collaboration – informative- support – networking – and feeling a sense of inspiration, will be the focus of the day. Agenda will also be available shortly.
