Healthwatch Advisory Board Member

We are seeking to recruit local people to join our Healthwatch Advisory Board. Our Board members play a crucial role in furthering the aims of Healthwatch and ensuring the needs of local people influence and inform our priorities and work.

Be a voice for your community in shaping local health and social care services. As a Board Member, you’ll help guide strategy, engage stakeholders, and ensure services meet local needs. We identify what local people like about services, their experience of accessing health and social care and what areas could be improved. We make these views known to those involved in the planning, commissioning, and scrutiny of care services. Healthwatch also helps people to find information that they need about services in their local area.

Healthwatch is the consumer champion for people who use health and social care services, ensuring that communities are engaged, listened to and provided with an avenue to tell us their views and opinions.

As a board member, you will help guide Healthwatch’s mission to ensure services are responsive and effective for local residents. Your responsibilities will include strategic planning, oversight, and engaging with stakeholders to improve health and care services across Leicester and Leicestershire. Ideal candidates will have strong communication, leadership, and collaborative skills, as well as a commitment to equality, diversity, and high standards of service.
