A number of those guidance documents have been updated to reflect the changes that came into place on 29 March 2021.
One of the guidance documents recently updated is the COVID-19: Guidance for managing beaches, the countryside and coastal areas
This guidance provides the owners and operators of beaches, countryside and coastal destinations with practical advice on how these can be managed effectively to enable their use while minimising the transmission risk of COVID-19.
Such as how to support social distancing and tackle overcrowding. The guidance can be accessed here.
Another guidance document that has been updated is the COVID-19: Guidance for managing playgrounds and outdoor gyms
This guidance provides the owners and operators of playgrounds and outdoor gyms with information on conducting a COVID-19 risk assessment and examples of measures that may be taken to facilitate their use while minimising COVID-19 transmission risk.
Such as details on cleaning and hygiene on frequently used/touched outdoor surfaces that could facilitate transmission of the virus.
The guidance can be accessed here.
We recommend that all local VCSE organisations that manage countryside areas, playgrounds, and outdoors gyms read the revised guidance and adapt their risk assessment procedures accordingly.
