The VAL Awards shine a light on the incredible people and organisations making a real difference across Leicester and Leicestershire. This year’s finalists showcase the passion, dedication and community spirit at the heart of our voluntary sector, and we are proud to recognise their achievements.
The finalists will be celebrated at The VAL Awards 2026 on Friday 2 October at Winstanley House, Leicester, proudly sponsored by Hastings Direct. The winners will be announced on the night, bringing together finalists, supporters and guests for an evening of celebration.
The 2026 finalists reflect the breadth and diversity of the voluntary sector, from dedicated volunteers and grassroots community groups to charities and organisations providing vital services across the region.
Kevin Allen-Khimani, VAL Chief Executive said:
"It’s wonderful to see so many inspiring people and organisations recognised through this year’s VAL Awards. We’re delighted to celebrate our finalists and the incredible work they do. Their achievements are something to be proud of, and we hope the awards give everyone the opportunity to share their stories, celebrate their successes and recognise the difference they make every day."
The VAL Awards were established in 2019 and have grown to become one of the region’s most anticipated celebrations of community spirit. Each year, the awards recognise the individuals, groups and organisations who give their time, skills and energy to support others and help strengthen communities across Leicester and Leicestershire.
From grassroots community projects and inspiring volunteers to established charities and organisations delivering vital services, the finalists showcase the incredible contribution of the voluntary sector and the difference it makes to people’s lives.
Congratulations to all of the 2026 VAL Awards finalists – and thank you for everything you do for our communities.
