Employability Support Projects

VAL has been involved in a range of employability and skills development projects over recent years, including the partnership Building Better Opportunities projects. Through this collaborative work, we were able to collectively support thousands of participants in their employment and skills journeys. Since ourYES, GREAT and WiLL Projects came to an end in 2023, we have seen smaller projects offer support, but there continues to be high levels of support needs

We are seeking to connect with local VCSE organisations that have experience of working with the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) and the Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF), or with delivering supported employment approaches aligned to its principles.

Supported employment plays a vital role in enabling people with lived experience of disability, mental ill health or other barriers to work to gain and sustain meaningful employment.

We are particularly keen to hear from VCSE organisations that:

  • Deliver or have delivered Individual Placement and Support (IPS) or supported employment services
  • Use, contribute to, or align with the Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF)
  • Have experience of working with health, local authority or integrated care partners
  • Support people with complex needs into sustainable employment

We are looking to build a network of organisations to:

  • Share learning, expertise and good practice
  • Inform future work, collaboration and service development
  • Strengthen VCSE voice and influence in employment and inclusion agendas
