Developing Skills and Confidence – Tofiq

Tofiq has been attending VALUES for several years and is a well-liked member of the service.

He enjoys coming to VALUES, where he actively participates in a range of activities and continues to develop new skills and interests. His enthusiasm for learning and willingness to try new things have been evident throughout his time with us.

Recently, Tofiq has been developing his skills in slipknot and chain making and has shown fantastic engagement throughout the process. He independently researched techniques by watching YouTube tutorials and then took part in focused one-to-one support sessions with Keely, which helped consolidate his learning. Through this combination of self-directed learning and personalised support, Tofiq quickly grasped the core concepts and was able to apply them in practice.

What has been particularly encouraging is the enjoyment and motivation Tofiq has shown throughout the activity. He recently shared that this has become his favourite session, demonstrating not only his growing confidence and skill development but also the positive impact of providing tailored support and learning opportunities that align with his interests.

Tofiq's progress highlights the value of combining independence with personalised guidance, enabling individuals to build confidence, develop practical skills, and achieve meaningful outcomes. We are delighted to see him thriving and look forward to supporting him as he continues to explore new opportunities and develop his talents.
